Help With Your DPC Gallery

Galleries allow you to collect, view and print sets of images in an online personalized collection during your current session at the NYPL Digital Picture Collection web site. Below, you'll find information to help you utilize them more efficiently.

Creating a Gallery

You may create a new Gallery at any time by clicking the '+ Gallery' link that appears directly below any image or as a part of the top and bottom navigation of any Image Detail page.

Adding Images to a Gallery

You can add images to a Gallery from any Image Search Results page by clicking the '+ Gallery' link that appears directly below any image. The image will be added to your active Gallery.

After an image is added to a Gallery, a '- Gallery' link below the image thumbnail will appear in the Gallery. To remove an image from your active Gallery, click this link.

Viewing Your Gallery

To view or return to your Gallery, click the 'My Gallery' link located at the top of every page within this site.

Deleting a Gallery

Your Gallery is held in session for 90 minutes after your last modification. Any selections you have made from the Collection will be cleared from our system after that time and so there's no need to delete your Gallery.
